1. Manufacturing industries are considered as the backbones of Indian economy as they reduce the heavy dependence of people from agricultural production. 2. They provide employment both in secondary and tertiary sector. 3. They reduce the regional disparities by setting industries in tribal and backward areas 4. Export of manufactured goods expan the trade and commerce and bring in the much needed foreign exchange.
