When nitrogen forms triple bond with another nitrogen atom.this triple bond have very high bond strength.which is very difficult to break , nitrogen has a small size,forms pπ-pπ bond.this property is not exhibit by phosphorus.thus phosphorus is more reactive than nitrogen.
