Ligaments
Tendons connect skeletal muscle to a bone.
Ligaments connect bone to another bone.
It’s generally tough and very inelastic.
They are tough and elastic.
Fibroblasts lie in continuous rows.
They are scattered.
Composed of white, fibrous connective tissues.
They are composed of yellow, fibrous tissues.
The fibres and compact and present in parallel bundles.
They are not arranged in parallel bundles but are compactly packed.
No such classification
They are further classified into 3 types, namely: Articular ligaments, Remnant ligaments and Peritoneal Ligaments.
