Suppose the tank is filled in x hours since water is flowing at the rate of 3km/hr therefore, Lenght of the water column=3xkm=3000x m Clearly the water column forms a cylinder of radius r=20/2cm=10cm =1/10m and h=height(length)=3000xm Hence vol. Of the water that flows in tank in x hrs πr^2h=( 22/7*1/10*1/10*3000x)cubic m Also volume of tank=(π*5*5*2). [R=5m and h=2m] Equate the volumes and then you will get your answer that is 1hr 40 min

Internal diameter of pipe =20cm Internal radiusof pipe =10cm Water flows at the rate of 3km/h=3000×100cm Volume of water that flow through the pipe in x hours=3000×100×x Dimensions of cylindrical tank radius=5×100cm height=2×100cm Volume of pipe=volume of cylindrical tank π×10×10×3000×100×x=π×500×200 X = 5/3 hours = 100 minutes= 1hr 40 minute

Diameter of the pipe = 20 cm Radius of the pipe= 10 cm Length of water column = 3km = 3x 1000x 100cm Vol. Of water flown in 1hour = π x 100 x 300000 cm3 Tank to be filled= π x 500 x 500 x 200 Time required to fill the tank of farmer = Vol. Of tank / Vol. Of water flown = π × 500 × 500 × 200/ π ×100 × 300000 hours 5/3 hours = 1/2/3 hours 1 hour 40 minutes = 60 + 40 minutes = 100
