During her life on the earth, Helen had been an unsuccessful writer •she had realised the pain of being an unsuccessful writer •therefore, she is a ghost, formed 'the writer inspiration Bureau' to help writer with a new idea for their writing ,and as a member of this Bureau, she had been helping the narrator, but ghost were precently Being summoned too often by Ouija board fanatics and they knew rest , that is why Helen and the other ghost decide to go on strike, she said that she would no longer have the narrator until he got to his relative and acquaintances give up the use of Ouija board I hope it helps u
