Two water taps together can fill a tank in 9 3/8 hours. The tap of larger diameter takes 10 hours less than the smaller one to fill the tank separately. Find the time in which each tap can separately fill the tank.

Let time taken by the largest tap to fill the tank completely be x hours Then volume it can fill in 1 hour is 1/X Then volume it can fill in 75/8 hours is75/8x Then time taken by smaller tab to fill the tank completely is X + 10 hours Volume it can fill in 1 hour is 1/X + 10 Then volume it fill in 75/8 hours is 75 / 8 ( X + 10) Tank filled by the largest tab + tank filled by smaller tab = 1 A/Q..... 75 / 8X + 75 / 8 (x + 10 )= 1 By calculating this you will get the answer .thank you
