Advantages of ozone layer: The major function of ozone layer is to stop the harmful rays coming from the sun as well as from star's.
Disadvantage of ozone layer: the oxygen in the earth may split into O + O. This oxygen combines with O₂ to form ozone.this ozone may cause diseases. this gas is not good for the earth's environment and for human life.

Ozone is a poisonous gas, but it Shields us from harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. The former is an advantage while the later disadvantage.
