. it stood against democracy
. it gave lower status to women
. it undermine the ability and aspirations of power
. it sometimes hinders national unity
. it stood against democracy
. it led to introduction of untouchability in India
. it hampered national development

It can be eradicated in following ways
. people should be made aware of the bad effect of caste system
. missuuse of caste should be declared a big punishable offence.
