2x - 1= 0

x = 1/2

So, by putting the value of x = 1/2

4x3 - 12x2 + 14x - 3

= 4 (1/2 )3 - 12 (1/2 )2  + 14 (1/2 ) - 3

= 4 (1/8) - 12 (1/4) + 14/2 - 3

= 4/8 - 12/4  + 14/2 - 3

= 1/2 - 3 + 7 - 3

= 1/2 + 1

= 1+2 / 2

= 3/2 - Ans

So the remainder is 3/2 .
