Clear sky looks blue because The molecules of air and other fine particles in atmosphere have size smaller than wavelength of visible light.these are most effective in scattering light of shorter wavelength at blue.when sun passes through atmosphere , fine particles in air scatter blue colour .the scattered blue colour enters our eye.
