firstly Gandhiji wrote letter to Lord Irwin and he wrote eleven demands in it out of which one demand is of to reduce the taxes on salt. Hi wait for a week but the letter doesn't come so Gandhiji decided 2 to break the salt law which was imposed by Britishers they followed by 78 followers they started from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi and break the salt law by making salt
