Agent Orange was one of the herbicides and a defoliant that was extensively used as part of the Operation Ranch Hand in the Vietnam War by the USA.
The use of Agent Orange was intended to be used to destroy the forest covers to prevent the guerillas from accessing food and shelter. This was sprayed extensively on the farms and forests by helicopters and low flying aircrafts in Vitenam.
Unfortunately, apart from the guerillas, the locals and peasants in the places where Agent Orange was sprayed had to bear the brunt of massive crop damages.
