Role of Cavour....cavour was the CM of sardinia peidmont. He took the responsibility to unify italian states . with the help of france cavour defeated austrian forces in 1859. Role of Garibaldi.... He led an army of volunteers ,he formed the famous group of army known as Red Shirt .he defeated Spanish forces during 1860s

Whose sword played an important role in the formation of Italy as a nation state, he was Giuseppe Garibaldi. ... He marched forward for the unification of Italy.
