    AB and CD are tangents at P and Q and PQ is a diameter

    since OP and OR are radius

    {tex}\angle1=\angle 3=90{/tex}  and  {tex}\angle 2=\angle 4=90{/tex}

    As these angles are corresponding angles  and equal

    Hence AB {tex}\|{/tex} CD

    See, radius is perpendicular to the tangents.. So the angle made at the end of diameter in both sides will be 90 degree.. And if the sum of cointerrior angles is 180 degree then lines will be parallel.. Now also if u r not able to understand then refer Google
