Shifting cultivation also known by the name of jhumming cultivation is widely used agriculture practice . in this , a patch of land is cleared first by cutting down trees or burning them then cultivated for years and then left barren for 2-3 years for the soil to regain its fertility. Cultivation is done on another land . this process is continued....
