In 1920 Ireland got incorporated into Great Britain.
The root cause of British and Irish conflict lies in religion. Majority of the people in Ireland were Catholics and a small number were Protestants. Inspite of this, the Britishers favoured to give the rule to the Protestants.This gave rise to revolution and conflict.
