Maximum jute textile mills located in the hugli basin especially for concentration of the jute-textile industry in Hugli river in West Bengal. West Bengal is home of jute and produces the highest number of bales of the jute fibre. Many number of industries consumes huge quantities of water which is easily available from the Hugli River
