♦ With spread of movement, foreign cloth was boycotted and liquor shops were picketed. ♦ Peasants refused to pay revenue. ♦ Village official resigned from their post. ♦ Forest people voilated forest laws. They went into Reserved forest to collect wood and graze cattle. ♦ In countryside, rich peasants communities viz. Patidars of Gujrat, Jats of Uttar Pradesh became supporters of Civil Disobedience Movement. ♦ People inspired their communities, sometimes forced the reluctant members to participate and boycott programmes.
