Difference between the unitary and federal system are----- 1.In unitary system there is only one type of government but in federal system there are two or more than two types of government(in India). 2.In unitary system the state government work as a subordinate of central government but in federal system the state government are independent. 3.In unitary government ,the central government can pass any order to the state or local goverenment on any specific issue.But in federal system the central government cannot pass any order to the state government,the state government are free to work on issue related to state.
