Road transport is more important than rail transport in many ways:- (1).Road transport operating cost is cheaper than rail transport. (2).Road transport is easy to access in hilly areas whereas in rail transport its difficult to reach such places. (3).Construction nd maintenance cost is less in road transport whereas it's more in rail transport. (4).Road transport is better than rail transport to transport goods for short distance.

Road transport is more useful than rail transport because:

1. Constructing roadways is cheaper than constructing railways

2. Roads are more convenient for dissected and undulating topography

3. It requires no extra cost of loading or unloading because of the door-to-door service.
