Brownian movement: The irregular and random motion by the particles suspended in a fluid is referred to as Brownian movement.

The particles move continuously without stopping.

It is caused by the water molecules colliding with the molecules of the colloidal particles.

During Brownian motion, a stirring effect is produced. This effect does not let the particles to settle down.

Hence, it affects the stability of the sol by not allowing the sol particles to settle down.
