*sanchi stupa was discovered in 1818. It has four gateways . It is situated in village named kankhera in Bhopal. Stupa of Sanchi was the best preserved monument and a model of wonderful sculpture. It is an important centre of Buddhism. *stupas are considered as the symbol of Buddhism as they contain the sacred relics of buddha.*stupa is a Sanskrit word which means heap or a semi-circular mound of earth. *money was donated by rulers of Bhopal, shahjehan begum and sultan jahan begum to preserve it and also built a museum.*it also have a very attractive sculpture also in which ruler scenes were depicted and it also well sculpted status of haha Lakshmi and many other also
