It is called the "zeroth" law because it came to light after the first and second laws of thermodynamics had already been established and named, but was considered more fundamental and thus was given a lower number — zero. Hope this will help u yakshi

 The zeroth law is so named because it logically precedes the first and second laws of thermodynamics.
The zeroth law of thermodynamics is the basis for temperature measurement of a body or object.  It defines the exchange of heat as well as defines the temperature. The law deals with the concepts used for designing the thermometer.
