chain mass intensity per unit length = 4kg/2m
ie.,I= 2kg/m
mass of chain of length hanged from table ie., 60cm = 0.6*2=1.2kg
now weight of 60 cm chain hanged from table = 9.8 * 1.2=11.76 N
now since gravitational force in both sections i.e, 140cm(on table) and 60cm(hanged from table) will be vertical in direction but we will exert force horizontally.
so we will consider only the work done to slide the table edged point of chain( the point on chain positioned at the edge from which the chain is hanged) to side it 60 cm horizontally over table so that the last end of chain also comes on the table
so we will require the force acting horizontall valued equal to the gravitational force to slide it 60cm horizontally.
so work required =11.76*0.6=7.056 Joule
