Volt meter is used to measure potential difference and ammeter is used to measure the current. Voltmeter is connected in parallel and ammeter is connected in series

Voltmeter - device which is use to measure volts or p.d . It is connected in pallel. Ammeter - device which is use to measure current. It is connected in series.
