Let if possible it is assumed that 7-√5 is rational no. 7- √5 = p/q. where p nd q are integers and q. qis not equal to 0 √5 = p/q - 7 Since p and q are integers so, p/q - 7 is rational and so √5 is rational But this contradicts the fact that √5 is irrational This is bcoz of our wrong assumption So we conclude that 7 - √5 is irrational
