x/a.cost+y/b.sint=1

x/a.sint-y/b.cost=1

Squaring and adding both the eqn we get

x²/a²(sin2t+cos2t)+y2/b2(sin2t+cos2t)+2xy/absintcost-2xy/absintcost-2xy=2

x2 /a2+y2/b2=2
