x + y = 3
x = 3 - y........ (i)

4x - 3y = 26...... (ii)
Put (i) in (ii)
4(3 - y) - 3y = 26
12 - 4y - 3y = 26
-7y = 26 - 12
-7y = 14
y = -2
Y = -2 in (i)
x = 3 - (-2)
x = 3 + 2
x = 5

X+y=3 .......... (1) 4x_3y=26..........(2). Multiply equation (1) by 3& equation (2) by1 to make coefficient of y equal 3x+3y=9...........(3). 4x_3y=26..........(4). From equation (3)&(4). X=5&y=_2
