Birds are closely related to dinosaurs, even dinosaurs are also related to the reptiles.This has been proved by the modern scientists......and some people also think that birds are the dinosaurs.........but scientists proved that they are closely related to each other..??for example the function of feathers initially was to provide insulation to the dinosaurs only some of them use tjeir feathers for flight, but birds seem have to adapted their feathers for flight purpose..........hope it will help you ?????☺☺

For example dinosaurs had feather and birds also have now but dinasours used them for protection from cold and birds used them for flying...so we can conclude that birds have evolved from dinasours
