Sheet erosion: Slow and gradual removal of a thin layer of soil because of the destruction of vegetation is known as sheet erosion. Sheet erosion occurs on gentle slopes. Sheet erosion occurs when a thin layer of topsoil is removed. Water flows in a large quantity in the form of sheets and erodes the soil.
