The measures to protect the rights of consumers are:
1. consumer protection act, 1986:This law or act settles the disputes of the consumersin simple,unexpensive and speedy manner.
2.Public Distribution System:This scheme was introducerd to overcome problems like hoardings, black marketing and overcharging by traders.
3.The Bureau of Indian Standard Act, 1986:Bureau of Indian Standard Act has the responsbility tof laying down the standards for industrial and consumer goods.
