Jet stream is the high speed wind blows at a high altitude ( above 1200 mtr ) in the troposphere. • It blows in south of the Himalayas except summer.

  • A narrow variable band of very strong predominantly westerly air currents encircling the globe several miles above the earth. There are typically two or three jet streams in each of the northern and southern hemispheres.
  • Jet Stream is a narrow belt of high altitude( >12000m)  westerly winds blowing with at westerly flow with a speed of 184 km/h in winter and 120 km/h in summer
