1.No language has been given the status of national language by the Constitution of India.
2.Hindi is the official language.
3.There are 22 other languages which have been given the status of Scheduled Languages.
4.State governments can do their official work in their own language.
5.Central government has not imposed mandatory usage of Hindi on State governments.
