Chromatin In the nucleus the DNA double helix is packaged by special proteins to form a complex called chromatin. It's fiber are long and thin. They are uncoiled structure found inside the nucleus. Chromosomes The chromatin undergoes further condensation to form the chromosomes. They are compact thick and ribbon -like. These are coiled structure seen during cell division.
