Occurs in thylakoid membranes of grana and stroma   lamellae Occurs in stroma of chloroplasts
Involves absorption of light energy and its   conversion into chemical energy in the form of ATP and NADPH + H+ Utilises ATP   and NADPH2  for the fixation and reduction of CO2 to   form carbohydrates.
Also called photochemical reaction or Hill reaction. Also called biosynthetic phase or Blackman’s reaction or   carbon dioxide fixation or Calvin cycle.
