A democratic form of government is one which is directly elected by the people of that country. And also in a democracy elections take place at regular time intervals.
So the people to vote for the same government in power, the government will be responsible and accountable to the people who elected them
Or else the people may choose another party / leader in the next election.
Hence the elected leaders are usually responsible to people.
