Nrega is Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarranty Act.
It was launched in 2005 to provide employment to th poor people.
One third of the employment is reserved for women.
Any person who does not gets employment will be given unemployment allowance.
It promises 100 days of employment in a year.
It was launched in more tha 200 backward districts of India.
