Anti- colonial movement was an effort of the colonised to free themselves from the colonial domination. The revolt of 1857 is regarded to be the first anti-colonial movement of India. Under the leadership of Bahadur Shah Zafar , several states of India took steps to fight for their rights an bring an end of the colonial domination of the British.
