The brain is protected by the bones of skull and by covering of 3 thin membranes called meninges. The brain is also protected by cerebrospinal fluid. This watery fuild is produced by special cells in the four hollow spaces in brain called ventricles.......thes bones protect the spinal cord

It is present inside our skull which is very hard and durable. It doesn't stick with the wall instead it floats in cerebrospinal fluid which provides cushioning to it from shocks and stuff. Between the skull and brain there is also a protective tissue layer known as meninges.
