Boyle's law states that, at constant temperature , the volume of a gas is inversely proportional to its pressure. V∝1/p or PV=K. Here, K is a constant. Its value depends upon the nature of the gas, mass of the gas and temperature. P =P1V1=P2V2=K

Boyle's Law simply describes the relationship between the pressure and volume of an enclosed gas when Temperature remains constant. That relationship, usually expressed as P1V1 = P2V2, just means that the product of pressure x volume remains unchanged as either or both are changed.

The volume of a given mass of a gas is inversely proportional to its pressure at constant temperature. V ∝ 1 / p or Vp = K K is a constant and its value depends on mass, temperature and nature of gas. ∴ p1V1 = p2V2
