slope of line passing through (1,1) and (5,-1) is = (-1-1)/(5-1) = -1/2

Therefore line passing through (1,-2) will have slope -1/2 since it is parallel to this line hence its equation will be:-

y-(-2)=(-1/2)(x-1)
