Let the total distance be S Then speed for S/3 distance =20km/hr Time taken (t)=S/3×20 = S/60 Remaining dist =S-S/3 =2S/3 Time taken = 2S/3×60 =S/90 Avrge speed=total dist. /total time =S/S/60 +S/90 =S/3S+2S/180 =180S/5S =36km/hr
