Given :ABCD is trapezium Construction: join a to c and then extend E and join it to line AC and take that point be g Such that EG parallel to DC To proff : as EG parallel to AD So AE/ED = AG/GC (by theorm 6.1)------1 Similarly by taking another triangle BF/FC=AG/GC------2 Therfore from 1 and2 AE /ED =BF/ FC
