Ans. The states of Arunachal Pradesh has the lowest density of population in India. This is because:

  1. The rugged terrain. The very high and steep peaks of the Himalayan mountain ranges provide dangerous topography for human survival. Communication is extremely difficult.
  2. Unfavourable climatic conditions: The difficult climatic conditions are primarily responsible for sparse population in these areas.
