The Unpolarised light has many vibrations In all directions. The work of polaroid is to transmit only those vibrations which are parallel to it and it absorbs those vibrations which are perpendicular to it .
After that the vibrations come out of the polaroid in the form of polarised light in which vibrations are assigned in one direction which are parallel to the polaroid.
