We know that 2520 greater than 405 so we apply division algorithm to 2520 and 405 a=bq+r (r=0) 2520=405×6+900 Here r is not equal to 0 so aplly division lemma on 900 and 405 900=405×2+90 Here r is not equal to 0 So aplly division lemma on 405 and 90 405=90×5+5 Here r is not equal to 0 so aplly division lemma on 5 and 5 5=5×1+0 here r = 0 So the HCF of 2520 and 405 is 5
