    To change the galvanometer into ammeter by using the external resistance i.e. shunt resistance in parallel with galvanometer and to convert into voltmeter we have to connect the galvanometer in series

    Galvanometer into an Ammeter---> a very low resistance is connected in parallel to Galvanometer.......... Galvanometer into voltmeter,---> a very high resistnce is connected in series with the galvanometer......
