Dr B R Ambedkar was the opinion that only political empowerment would resolve their problems due to this at the list given demanding reserve seats in educational constitutions and separate electorate that would choose the dalit member for legislative council in 1930 Dr B R Ambedkar International politics in the same year he organised the depressed classes association to make them politically more powerful he was nominated as a deputy of the oppressed classes for the second round table conference in that Round table conference hi clash with Mahatma Gandhi by demanding separate electorate for the dalit he signed Poona pact that give the dress the classes National and Central Legislative Council

The role of Ambedker in uplifting the dalit was as follows
(i) Dr. BR Ambedkar joined active polities in 1930 and organised the Depressed Classes Association to uplift the dalits.
(ii) He demanded separate electorates for dalits and reservation of seats in educational institutions for them.
(iii) He signed the Poona Pact that gave reserved seats to the depressed classes in provincial and central legislative councils.
