In amoeba, splitting of the cell into two during cell divison can take place in any plane. Binary Fission in Amoeba is a type of asexual reproduction shown by amoeba. Binary fission of Amoeba can happen in any place of the cell.
Leishmania has a whip like structure at one end of the cell, hence binary fission occurs in a definite orientation in relation to this structure. Binary Fission in Leishmania is a type of asexual reproduction shown by leishamnia. Binary fission of Leishmania happens in a longitudinal plane.
