The comparison between the Belgian and Sri Lankan form of power sharing is as following; (i) Belgium used the system of power sharing while Sri Lanka uses the system of majoritarianism. (ii) The French and Dutch were power holders equally in Belgium while the Sinhalese majority took control in Sri Lanka. (iii) Belgium has been able to combat ethnic war while Sri Lanka is still suffering from ethnic discrimination.
